Are you experiencing any feelings of worry or anxiety as we flow into a new week? Try this.
Try 'Leaves on a Stream', a meditation that only takes a few minutes.
Once you're comfortable in your meditation position (cross legged on the floor, chair or even your seat on the train), back straight, shoulders relaxed and eyes closed. Take a few slow, deep breaths right down to your belly and let go of any tension as you exhale.
Imagine you are sitting by a beautiful stream, perhaps it's the one pictured here, or imagine your own. As you watch the water flow, you start to see leaves floating on top, moving past you, down the stream and out of sight.
Now acknowledge the things that you are worried about right now, they may appear as pictures or words, and place these on the leaves that are flowing past you. Continue to watch these leaves that are carrying your worries as they float further and further down the stream until they're out of sight.
Keep going for as long as you need to and you'll notice a sense of calm wash over you.
Focus on your slow, deep breathing and gradually come back into the space you're in when you're ready.
